Who We Are

Western PA Hardwater sponsored its first tournament series in 2016 with two events and has grown exponentially in the last three years. To date, Western PA Hardwater has held 15 tournaments with over 550 teams in attendance. Our competitors travel from across the nation – PA, OH, VT, NY, and UT.

As the series continues to grow and gain traction, WPA Hardwater continues to on-board additional sponsors and plan for an increase in competitors during the 2020 season.

What We Do

The WPA Hardwater Series was developed to fill the gap between spring tournament seasons in Western Pennsylvania. Until 2016, no other organization in Western Pennsylvania sponsored an ice fishing series that welcomed amateur and professional fishermen. The WPA Hardwater Series is proud to have filled this need, and welcomes fishermen of all ages to fish our series. In previous years we have welcomed fishermen from all over the state, as well as various regions of New York and Ohio.

Safety is very important to our organization, and we make it a point to check the ice in the days prior to every tournament to ensure the safety of our competitors. You can stay updated on the status of upcoming events by visiting our News page or following us on Facebook.
